Novák, Michael ; Bátora, Branislav (referee) ; Pěcha, Jiří (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the division of the system installation and gives an overview of electrical appliances and heating system. It focuses on the Loxone system installation. The main part is the project documentation of wiring, programming the control of a family house and regulation of the solar thermal system for heating water and the heating system control. It also includes a simple economic evaluation of the proposed solar system.
Architectural Lighting Desing
Machát, Jan ; Petelen, Ivan (referee) ; Dulenčín, Juraj (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor)
This dissertation focuses on the development and understanding of lighting design in the context of architecture. The main objectives of this thesis are: • To expand the theoretical knowledge of lighting design in architecture, including its purpose, perception and specific techniques. • Developing and testing an innovative approach to simulating lighting in buildings, specifically by using video projection on facades as an alternative to traditional, challenging methods. • Providing practical recommendations for the application of lighting design in practice. The thesis describes the challenges associated with traditional methods of façade lighting and presents an innovative alternative in the form of video projection. This approach offers flexibility in testing different lighting scenarios, facilitating design changes and efficiently selecting the optimum lighting for a particular building. The practical part started with the selection of a suitable building, the historic Building A of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Brno University of Technology, based on carefully defined criteria. This was followed by simulation tests in a computer environment and tests on a scale model of the building, created using 3D printing, before the actual test on the real building. The theoretical part of the work included studying literature, participation in conferences and workshops, a study internship in Stockholm and practical work with light. These experiences served as a basis for a potential teaching course "Light in Architecture" that could be incorporated into the architectural studio curriculum. Overall, this dissertation contributes to strengthening the theoretical and practical understanding of light design in architecture and offers innovative methods and practices for its application.
Project documentation of wiring for the revitalization of residential house
Štangl, Jan ; Tesař, Radek (referee) ; Bátora, Branislav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the issue of the revitalization of the outdated electrical wiring in houses with regard to the valid standards. In the introduction to the theoretical part of the thesis the current connection conditions of the E.on distribution network are summarized, then there is a subchapter dedicated to the ways of conductors storing. The following section is devoted to the common spaces as far as lighting and socket circuits are concerned. The thesis continues with a part which contains an analysis of the existing conditions of the building, including the calculation of the risks of unprotected and protected building. The work is then directed on practical technical documentation heavy-current (main lead, lead to the distribution boxes, lightning conductor and grounding) and light-current (common TV antenna, house phone) wiring in the building. The mentioned section contains calculations necessary for determination of the correct wire cross section based on the way of storing, ambient temperature and output power. In the same section there are processed also lighting designs in all the common areas (for example, the intensity of the illumination determined by the ČSN standards emitted by the Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing). In chapter no. 4.9 the lightning conductor including the earthing of the building is drawn up.
Lighting and lighting systems for stand-alone applications
Čejka, Lukáš ; Škoda, Jan (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of lighting systems for stand-alone applications. These systems are independent of the electrical connection and they are powered by batteries. Batteries are charged by independent sources. The work is more focused on an autonomous lighting system that uses a solar panel. It mentions the main components of the system. Furthermore, in this work, we can find types of stand-alone lighting applications, their possibilities, problems, advantages and disadvantages, economic balance and also outline other possible solutions.

Public lighting as well as every technical infrastructure has got its own lifetime, so the periodic renovation is needed. Public lighting in the Czech Republic was built during the 70´s of the last century and regular renovations were done only in larger cities. In small cities and villages, the public lighting systems are almost at the end of their life time and it is necessary to make the overall reconstruction. For a long time, relatively a little attention was paid to public lighting. The situation was changed in the last few years, where thanks to the pressure to lower the energy consumption, the attention was focused also on the public lighting. Solutions of problems with energy efficiency are usually accompanied by financial instruments in the form of subsidies, grants etc. which support the change of technical equipment with low efficiency for technical equipment with high efficiency. However, in above mention steps the considerations of the overall reconstruction of public lighting is missing. With reference to situation in public lighting systems it would be appropriate to combine their energy performance solutions with overall reconstruction. Older lighting systems and unfortunately, also some new lighting systems, are not only energy inefficient but in many cases they also visually disturb public spaces by their location, design or proportions. In addition, they are the sources of obtrusive light too. Public spaces are important part of human settlements and the scale of life quality. The light is an instrument for creating environment with regards to many aspects (cultural, historical, functional, etc.) of urban areas. It is necessary to perceive public lighting comprehensively taking into account not only the traffic safety and energy consumption but also architectural-urban aspects and aspects connected with minimizing of obtrusive light.

In general, lighting systems are subjected to verification of photometric parameters after installation what is usually performed by field trial according to lighting project as required by the standard EN 12464-1. Illumination of indoor workplaces is normally based only on artificial lighting without access of daylight through windows or rooflights. To achieve good visual performance for workers, higher illuminance level at the workplace is required. Moreover, in some countries these requirements to photometric parameters shall follow legislative documents which prescribe illuminance level at the workplace. In Slovak Republic the legal requirement for total maintained illuminance is 1 500 lx for indoor workplaces without daylight if any alternative arrangements are not ensured for the workers and long-term stay of persons is declared at the workplace what should reduce health impact of the persons in that space without daylight. This is controlled by the Public Health Authority as one of the requirements for commissioning of the building. More luminaires with appropriate light sources can easily satisfy that illuminance level. But on the other hand, energy consumption for this lighting system is much higher what negatively influences the classification according to the system for energy performance of buildings as requirement of the EU directive 2010/31/EC.Requirements for lighting systems are stated in the document EN 15193. This paper puts focus on workplaces without access of any daylight. Measurements of photometric parameters of lighting systems were performed with respect to the energy performance of building according to requirements of the standard EN 15193. Based on analyses of the results energy performance of lighting systems will be figured out. Suggestions to possible options how to satisfy legislative and normative requirements with respect to lighting systems used in illumination of indoor workplaces will be also presented.
